Litx security policies

Staking SOL is generally as safe as holding SOL in your own wallet - validators cannot access your staked SOL and Solana does not currently have slashing.

To further ensure the integrity of our validator operations, we take the following measures to maintain the highest standards of security:

Multi-Layered Security Protocols

Our security protocols encompass multiple layers of defense, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and regular security reviews. This multi-layered approach ensures comprehensive protection against potential threats.

Encryption and Secure Communication

Our validator machines operate on a principle of mimimal attack surface, and all access is protected using strong encryption.

Timely Updates and Patches

We stay on top of the latest security updates and patches. Systems are set to apply security updates automatically wherever possible, and any updates requiring manual intervention are applied in a timely fashion to protect against newly discovered vulnerabilities.

Secure Key Management Hardware wallets

We use hardware wallets for secure key storage and management wherever possible (i.e. generally for all but the vote account keypair, which must be a hot wallet). Hardware wallets provide the highest degree of protection for private keys, preventing unauthorized access and ensuring the integrity of validator operations.

Monitoring and Failover

Systems are monitored around the clock by automated systems and by datacenter staff. In case of unexpected downtime in the main validator, a hot spare is set to take over automatically within minutes.

Open Communication Transparent Reporting

We maintain open lines of communication with our community. If you have any questions or concerns about our security practices, we encourage you to reach out to us.
